A little peek into how our team celebrates, styles, and cherishes the women who shaped them!
Mother’s Day always finds its way into the little details around here. It shows up in the pieces we hold onto, the traditions we keep, and the way we design homes that are meant to be lived in, loved in, and passed down. This year, we asked a few of our team members to share what Mother’s Day looks like to them, along with the pieces and philosophies that stay with them far beyond just one Sunday in May.

• What’s your favorite Mother’s Day activity?
It’s all of it wrapped into one – Sleeping in, a big breakfast (mimosa AND coffee), getting to read darling homemade cards from my kids, & a quiet solo treat – massage or nails! I also love a new tradition of taking my mom to lunch with my sister the Friday before so that we can celebrate her, too!
• Which piece would you most want to pass down to your kids one day?
My grandmother gave me her 1960s Broyhill Brasilia Mid-Century Credenza, and I used it in all of my children’s nurseries as their dresser/changing table. Once we moved, we reimagined it as a focal point of our living room! I love the history and mid-century character. I hope one of our kids appreciates it like we have!
• How has your mom influenced your design philosophy or style?
My mother’s wardrobe, especially her western attire during rodeo season, is eclectic and elevated. She inspires me to layer and have a fearless approach to accessorizing. She is always thoughtfully adorned!

• What’s your favorite Mother’s Day activity?
Doing an outdoor family activity – Frisbee golf, swimming, pickleball, etc.. Anything active where we are all together for the day.
• Which piece would you most want to pass down to your kids one day?
The Elisabeth coffee table in a gorgeous burl wood! So timeless and will withstand the test of time.
• How has your mom influenced your design philosophy or style?
My mom loved wallpaper (every room had it!) and I have started to love it in my home!

• What’s your favorite Mother’s Day activity?
Receiving anything handmade is always so special, and flowers are a fun treat I never get tired of.
• Which piece would you most want to pass down to your kids one day?
I love the idea of passing down a dining room table—something that holds years of memories from holidays and special gatherings, so my kids can carry those moments with them into their own homes.
• How has your mom influenced your design philosophy or style?
My mom has an effortlessly chic style, and we often find ourselves drawn to the same look….even wearing similar outfits at times. She’s had a strong influence on my aesthetic and appreciation for timeless, well-curated design.

• What’s your favorite Mother’s Day activity?
Shopping with my own mom!, and not changing any diapers 😉 I’m looking forward to spending some time to spend with my girlfriends the Friday before-my mom tribe thats in the trenches together!!
• Which piece would you most want to pass down to your kids one day?
I hope they want all of my collections! But all the pieces that are named after my children are the most sentimental. Burlwood is timeless and is a great piece that I hope they appreciate years from now!
• How has your mom influenced your design philosophy or style?
My home growing up was always comfortable and welcoming, never stuffy! I never felt like we couldn’t run through the house with friends, or play a game at the coffee table. That has definitely become a core value for my design philosophy. She also let me have a lot of creative freedom (in my own room) and I remember rearranging the living room! 😉 sorry mom!

• What’s your favorite Mother’s Day activity?
My favorite way to spend Mother’s Day is out on the boat (in the sun) with my family. We love fishing and crabbing, and the highlight is always wrapping up the day with a crab boil and fish fry together.
• Which piece would you most want to pass down to your kids one day?
I’m excited to one day pass down my Oyster Creek burl wood furniture pieces to my boys. I hope they (and their spouses) come to appreciate beautiful, thoughtful design the way their momma does! I also love the idea of sharing my art collection with them, especially the pieces I’ve inherited from my parents and grandparents.
• How has your mom influenced your design philosophy or style?
My mom has deeply influenced my personal design style, especially in how I think about home. Our home is filled with an abundance of love, mixed in with the chaos of a busy life with kids, but also the joy of gathering around the table for great meals and fellowship. Our homes are meant to be lived in fully, nothing should feel too precious, and comfort is always the priority! My mom welcomed everyone with open arms into our home growing up and she was an incredible cook and host, which is where my love of hosting comes from.

A Note From Us
If there’s one thing that ties all of these together, it’s this: the best homes aren’t just designed, they’re lived in. They hold stories, traditions, and the kind of pieces that only get better with time.
This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating the women who taught us that.
