The OCS gals spent a fun-filled week in Round Top this past month, and we’re excited to share our favorite places to shop, stay, and eat! We made our first visit to Marburger, and while it was full of beautiful finds, our greatest treasures (and deals!) came from our usual go-to spots listed below. Be sure to check out our Instagram for behind-the-scenes moments and more details from our trip!
The Compound
We love visiting The Compound to see some of the finer things Round Top has to offer! We typically spend 2 to 3 hours here. There are so many fun treasures to hunt for at The Compound. We always make sure to stop by my favorite champagne vending machine and see the German antiques. We also enjoy grabbing a drink in the gazebo and listening to the live music!
Excess Fields
We love digging for treasures at Excess, one of our favorite spots! We enjoy finding Oushak rugs, blue and white ginger jars, and one-of-a-kind items. We spend hours here, so make sure to wear your boots when walking the fields and enjoy a frito pie.
Market Hill
We love stopping by Market Hill to source for all things home decor. Be sure to grab lunch and a cocktail in the back of Market Hill. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to discover one-of-a-kind treasures. It has really great curated spaces! Paul Michael’s spot is a must-see, and the one-of-a-kind European antiques are worth checking out!
Blue Hills
We typically spend the day in Blue Hills walking the tents, as they have so much to offer—from French antiques to vintage boots—you’re always going to find something to take home! They are opening a second (huge!) barn, and we can’t wait to see all the new vendors there!
The Arbors
We could spend an entire day at The Arbors! We enjoy shopping for clothes, jewelry, hats, and all kinds of home decor. It’s important to wear boots here because the tents can get dusty. Don’t forget to grab a cocktail at the Ellis Motel pop up!
Bader Ranch
We love watching a Round Top sunset at Bader Ranch! They serve the best homemade margaritas at Lady Elaine towards the back. Also, be sure to swing by one of my favorite booths Shop Sissy Light! She designs all of my favorite hats that I wear year around!
Favorite Spot to Stay: The Frenchie
The Frenchie in Round Top, TX is such a chic and stylish boutique hotel right in the middle of the Texas countryside. We always stay there during antique week or when we’re having a girls’ weekend getaway. It’s just so cozy and elegant, with a touch of European flair that we absolutely love.
Favorite Spots to Eat:Our go-to spots for eating out are Lulu’s for a nice quaint dinner, Manditos for tasty Mexican food, and Boon & Company with fresh salads, wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and some really good dinner options too!
