My family and my brother’s family took off to Scottsdale, Arizona, for a much-needed family getaway during the kids’ fall break. We stayed at the JW Marriott Camelback Mountain Resort, and it was the perfect combo of luxury and relaxation! The desert views were stunning, setting the tone for a chill and peaceful vacation.
We played a ton of pickleball as a family — my first time, and now I’m officially hooked! While the boys hit the golf course, my sister-in-law and I treated ourselves to some much-deserved spa time. It was everything we needed — so peaceful and refreshing. We rented a cabana by the pool most of the days and watched the kids swim, ordered great food from the poolside kitchen, and sipped on mint mojitos and miami vices!
For food, we hit up one of my favorite spots in Old Town Scottsdale, The Mission. It’s an upscale Mexican restaurant, and if you go, make sure to get the tableside guac and the creamed corn! Another night, we were all craving sushi, so we headed to Uchi and ate more rolls than we could count! The food was amazing, and the vibe was so cool! We also had dinner at the Lincoln Steakhouse on the resort property two nights. Both the tuna and steaks were phenomenal! Oh, and don’t miss out on the espresso martinis — they’re a must! We hope to go back to Scottsdale as a family again soon because there was something for everyone to enjoy!
